The Ombudsman overseas the handling of complaints amd disputes resulting from breaches of contract, professional negligence, misconduct or poor service by member firms.

The Ombudsman is free of charge to both the installer and consumer and is completely independent of the members that subscribe to the scheme.

Class Energy are members of TrustMark. TrustMark is a not-for-profit organisation which helps customers find local and reliable tradesmen who work to government endorsed standards.

In order to get TrustMark approval, tradesmen agree to certain high standards which will be expected of them during every job. This means we have agreed to:

• Have our technical skills independently checked through regular on-site inspections, as well as checks on our trading record and financial status;
• Sign up to a code of practice that includes insurance, good health and safety practices and customer care;
• Allow the approved scheme operator to check and monitor the firm’s quality of work, trading practices and customer satisfaction;
• Be able to offer an Insurance Backed Warranty;
• Make Deposit Protection Insurance available for consumers in the event that we should cease trading;
• We will be able to tell you about any building regulations you must comply with and may also be able to provide appropriate certificates;
• If you have a problem or disagreement with the us, there will be a clear and user-friendly complaints procedure to help resolve the issue;
